The Year of Return to Ghana
NOVEMBER 10 - 16, 2019
President Nana Akufo-Addo of Ghana has declared 2019 the “Year of Return to Ghana” for Africans in the Diaspora. Join Jay English and Omi for a trip dedicated to Sankofa, as we travel to Ghana to reconnect with Africa the birthplace of humanity. During this 5 day trip, we will visit Ghana's Beautiful beaches, enchanted forests, dine on African cuisine, connect with the people of Ghana and do inner work to heal ourselves and reconnect with our ancestors. We will also visit the slave dungeons of Cape Coast and Elmina where many Africas were held captive before they were taken on the devastating journey of the Middle Passage (Maafa). This is both a celebration of African culture and a trip to focus on healing the identity trauma so many African people have experienced.
